Pro Golfers from Utah

Current Pro Men’s Golfers from Utah (PGA 2023)

Golfers, and athletes of all sports really, take pride in where they’re from. Whether it’s the state, city or area code – you always notice players wanting to rep their home area.

The whole Ryder Cup is basically built on the principle of competing and representing where you’re from.

Fans tend to do the same thing. It’s always more fun to pull for a player when they’re from your home state (or even your hometown).

With all that in mind, we went through the World Golf Rankings and pulled the home states (or countries) of every player in the top 200 (as of 5/19/23).

28 of the 50 states in the US have at least one player representing them in that top 200.

One of those 28 states is Utah which has a lone representative in the top 200.

Here is the golfer from Utah in the World Golf Rankings top 200 in the spring of 2023 including what town they’re from.

About the Players

Tony Finau

Tony Finau is recognized for his long drives and his steady performances in major championships. He turned professional in 2007 and has competed on the PGA Tour and the Korn Ferry Tour.

Finau earned his first PGA Tour win at the 2016 Puerto Rico Open. Although he is often seen near the top of leaderboards, he has been somewhat of a second-place specialist, registering numerous runner-up finishes on the PGA Tour without adding to his win tally.

His prowess in major tournaments is noteworthy; he’s consistently had strong showings, including several top-10 finishes. His performance in these tournaments has cemented his reputation as one of the most consistent performers on the biggest stages in golf.
