Football Players who Played for Bengals and Seahawks

I’ve done some research and have found players who played for both the Bengals and the Seahawks.

Jon Kitna

Jon Kitna played in the NFL for 14 seasons. Kitna played college football at Central Washington University and was undrafted in the 1996 NFL Draft.

He was initially signed by the Seattle Seahawks where he served as the backup, later becoming the starter in 1999. During that season, he passed for 3346 yards and 23 touchdowns.

He then signed with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2001 where he started for three seasons. He played for the Detroit Lions from 2006 to 2008, where he had two seasons passing for over 4,000 yards.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh

T.J. Houshmandzadeh was selected in the seventh round, 204th overall, by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2001 NFL Draft. During his 11-year NFL career, Houshmandzadeh played for the Bengals, Seahawks, Ravens, and Raiders. His best season came in 2007 with the Bengals, when he recorded 112 receptions for 1,143 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Houshmandzadeh was also named to the Pro Bowl in 2007, highlighting a season in which he tied for the NFL lead in receptions.

Known for his reliable hands and precise route-running, Houshmandzadeh developed a strong on-field connection in Cincinnati with quarterback Carson Palmer, forming a dynamic duo with fellow wide receiver Chad Johnson.

Carlos Dunlap

Carlos Dunlap played his collegiate football at the University of Florida. As a Gator, he was instrumental in their 2008 BCS National Championship win and was named the Defensive Most Valuable Player of the 2009 BCS National Championship Game.

He was drafted in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. With the Bengals, Dunlap quickly developed into one of the team’s premier pass rushers, setting the franchise record (at the time) for sacks in a season with 13.5. He was with the Bengals for a decade, becoming a two-time Pro Bowler during his tenure.

In 2020, Dunlap was traded to the Seattle Seahawks, where he continued to showcase his pass-rushing skills and provided a veteran presence on their defensive line. After a year and a half in Seattle, Dunlap found his way to the Kansas City Chiefs and picked up a Super Bowl ring in 2022.
