Football Players who Played for Patriots and Raiders

I’ve done some research and have found players who played for both the Patriots and Raiders.

Randy Moss

Randy Moss is one of the best wide receivers of all time, known for his speed, agility, and spectacular catches. From 1998 to 2012, he played for the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, and San Francisco 49ers.

His 1998 rookie season with the Vikings set a record with 17 touchdown receptions. A record Moss broke again in 2007 with 23 touchdown catches for the Patriots.

A six-time Pro Bowler and four-time First-Team All-Pro, he accumulated 982 receptions for 15,292 yards and 156 touchdowns in his career. Moss was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.

Chandler Jones

Chandler Jones was drafted 21st overall by the New England Patriots in 2012, and his impact on the field was felt immediately. Jones was a crucial component of the Patriots’ defensive line that helped the team to secure a victory in Super Bowl XLIX.

In 2016, Jones was traded to the Arizona Cardinals where his excellent performance continued, culminating in a standout 2017 season where he led the league in sacks with 17.

His ability to disrupt offensive plays and his prowess for sacking quarterbacks have kept him among the top players at his position year after year.

Cordarrelle Patterson

Cordarrelle Patterson is about to enter his 11th year in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons. Atlanta is Patterson’s 5th team having played previously with the Vikings, Bears, Patriots and Raiders.

Patterson has been one of the top receivers in the league since being drafted by the Vikings with the 29th overall pick in the 2013 draft.

Patterson is a 4 time Pro Bowler and has been named 1st team All-Pro 3 times. A true dual threat, he has taken significant snaps as both a wide receiver and a running back throughout his career.

Brandon LaFell

Brandon LaFell was drafted in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. LaFell played for the Panthers from 2010 to 2013, making some solid contributions as a reliable receiving option.

He then joined the New England Patriots in 2014 and enjoyed one of the highlights of his career by winning Super Bowl XLIX with the team.

After his stint with the Patriots, LaFell went on to play for the Cincinnati Bengals from 2016 to 2018. He finished his tenure with the Bengals with respectable numbers before moving to the Oakland Raiders for a short stint in 2018. LaFell finished his 9-year career with 5,398 receiving yards and 31 touchdowns.
