Jaromir Jagr
Jaromír Jagr was drafted 5th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft, Jagr swiftly made an impression. Alongside center Mario Lemieux, Jagr played a pivotal role in back-to-back Stanley Cup championships for the Penguins in 1991 and 1992. His time with Pittsburgh also included multiple scoring titles and an MVP.
Jagr’s NHL journey included playing for several teams such as the Capitals, Rangers, Flyers, Stars, Bruins, Devils, Panthers, and Flames. Across these stints, his scoring touch and on-ice intelligence never waned. Jagr finished his career ranked second in NHL all-time points (1921), behind only Wayne Gretzky.
But Jagr’s contributions to the game extend beyond the NHL. He has been an essential figure for the Czech national team, securing a gold medal in the 1998 Winter Olympics and multiple World Championships.

Brad Boyes
Brad Boyes was drafted 24th overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut with the San Jose Sharks during the 2003-04 season after a trade. However, it was with the Boston Bruins and then the St. Louis Blues that Boyes found his stride.
In the 2007-08 season with the Blues, Boyes had his best offensive year, scoring 43 goals and adding 22 assists. His success in St. Louis continued the following season with a career-high 72 points.
After his time with the Blues, Boyes played for several other NHL teams, including the Buffalo Sabres, New York Islanders, Florida Panthers, and Toronto Maple Leafs. He continued to be known for his shootout skills, and though his production declined in later years, he remained a valued veteran presence.

Erik Haula
Erik Haula is a Finnish forward currently playing for the New Jersey Devils in the NHL. He was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the seventh round, 182nd overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Before joining the NHL, Haula played at the University of Minnesota, where he had an impressive college hockey career.
Haula signed an entry-level contract with the Wild in 2013 and made his NHL debut in the 2013-14 season, where he also scored his first NHL goal. He played for the Wild until 2017 when he was selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the NHL Expansion Draft. Haula had a career-high 29 goals for 55 points in the 2017-18 season with the Golden Knights.
Haula has also played for the Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers, Nashville Predators, and Boston Bruins. In July 2022, Haula was traded to the New Jersey Devils, where he later signed a three-year extension.
Reilly Smith
Reilly Smith is a Canadian right winger currently playing for the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was selected in the third round, 69th overall, by the Dallas Stars in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Smith’s pro career began with the Stars in 2012, and he was soon part of a significant trade to the Boston Bruins.
His journey through the NHL also included stints with the Florida Panthers and the Vegas Golden Knights, with whom he won the Stanley Cup in 2023, scoring the Cup-clinching goal in Game 5.
His career statistics in the NHL (as of this writing) include 200 goals and 273 assists in 764 regular season games, along with 26 goals and 53 assists in 106 playoff games.

Gord Murphy
Gord Murphy, a retired Canadian defenseman, began his NHL career after being drafted in the ninth round, 189th overall, by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. Following three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Oshawa Generals, Murphy debuted professionally with the Flyers’ AHL affiliate, the Hershey Bears, in the 1987-88 season.
He then joined the Flyers in the 1988-89 season. After over three seasons in Philadelphia, Murphy was traded to the Boston Bruins. He was later picked by the Florida Panthers in the 1993 NHL Expansion Draft, where he played for six seasons before being traded to the Atlanta Thrashers in the 1999 NHL Expansion Draft.
Over the course of his NHL career, Murphy played in 863 games, scoring 85 goals and adding 238 assists. He also appeared in 53 Stanley Cup playoff games, contributing three goals and 16 assists. Murphy was also part of the 1996 Florida Panthers team that won the Eastern Conference before losing in the Stanley Cup Finals.
