Eric Staal
Eric Staal was selected 2nd overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2003 NHL Draft. Over his distinguished NHL career, Staal has become known for his leadership, scoring ability, and consistency.
During his time with the Hurricanes, he won the Stanley Cup in the 2005-2006 season, leading the team in scoring during the playoffs. He was named captain of the Hurricanes in 2010.
Staal has also played for the Rangers, Wild, Sabres, Canadiens and Panthers. Throughout his career, he’s been named an All-Star (2005-06), won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2010 Winter Olympics and achieved the 1,000-point milestone, making him one of the top offensive players of his generation.

Sean Burke
Sean Burke had a long and distinguished career as a goaltender in the NHL. Burke was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the second round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft.
He made his NHL debut during the 1987-1988 season with the Devils. Over the course of his career, he played for several NHL teams, including the New Jersey Devils, Hartford Whalers, Carolina Hurricanes, Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers, Florida Panthers, Phoenix Coyotes, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Los Angeles Kings.
One of the highlights of Burke’s career was his role as the starting goaltender for Team Canada in various international competitions, including the Winter Olympics and the World Cup of Hockey. He was known for his strong play in high-pressure situations and represented Canada with distinction.

Erik Haula
Erik Haula is a Finnish forward currently playing for the New Jersey Devils in the NHL. He was selected by the Minnesota Wild in the seventh round, 182nd overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Before joining the NHL, Haula played at the University of Minnesota, where he had an impressive college hockey career.
Haula signed an entry-level contract with the Wild in 2013 and made his NHL debut in the 2013-14 season, where he also scored his first NHL goal. He played for the Wild until 2017 when he was selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the NHL Expansion Draft. Haula had a career-high 29 goals for 55 points in the 2017-18 season with the Golden Knights.
Haula has also played for the Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers, Nashville Predators, and Boston Bruins. In July 2022, Haula was traded to the New Jersey Devils, where he later signed a three-year extension.
Gord Murphy
Gord Murphy, a retired Canadian defenseman, began his NHL career after being drafted in the ninth round, 189th overall, by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. Following three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Oshawa Generals, Murphy debuted professionally with the Flyers’ AHL affiliate, the Hershey Bears, in the 1987-88 season.
He then joined the Flyers in the 1988-89 season. After over three seasons in Philadelphia, Murphy was traded to the Boston Bruins. He was later picked by the Florida Panthers in the 1993 NHL Expansion Draft, where he played for six seasons before being traded to the Atlanta Thrashers in the 1999 NHL Expansion Draft.
Over the course of his NHL career, Murphy played in 863 games, scoring 85 goals and adding 238 assists. He also appeared in 53 Stanley Cup playoff games, contributing three goals and 16 assists. Murphy was also part of the 1996 Florida Panthers team that won the Eastern Conference before losing in the Stanley Cup Finals.
Sandis Ozolins
Sandis Ozolins, born in Latvia, is a retired player and coach. Ozolins was drafted 30th overall by the San Jose Sharks in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut in the 1992-93 season. He quickly became known for his scoring ability, leading the league in goals by a defenseman in his sophomore year.
In the 1995-96 season, Ozolins was traded to the Colorado Avalanche, where he won the Stanley Cup. He set career highs with 68 points in the 1996-97 season and finished third in Norris Trophy voting.
Ozolins’s career included stints with the Carolina Hurricanes, Florida Panthers, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, and New York Rangers. Ozolins was a seven-time NHL All-Star and the all-time leader for goals, assists, points, and games played by a Latvian in the NHL.

Jussi Jokinen
Jussi Jokinen is a retired Finnish forward. Jokinen was selected by the Dallas Stars in the sixth round, 192nd overall, in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in the 2005–06 season with the Stars and quickly gained a reputation as a top shootout specialist in the league.
Jokinen’s NHL career spanned over 13 seasons, during which he played for nine teams. After his tenure with the Dallas Stars, he played for the Lightning, Hurricanes, Penguins, Panthers, Oilers, Kings, Blue Jackets, and Canucks.
His most productive season came in 2013–14 with the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he scored 21 goals and totaled 57 points in 81 games. In the 2017–18 season, he became the fourth player in NHL history to play for four different teams in a single season.
