Baseball Players who Played for Marlins and Cardinals

I’ve done some research and have found players who played on both the Marlins and Cardinals.
Bobby Bonilla
Bobby Bonilla was a big-hitter whose career spanned from 1986 to 2001, playing for 8 different teams over that time. You may know him as a Pirate, Met or Marlin but he also played for the Orioles, Braves, Cardinals, Dodgers and White Sox.
Bonilla helped the Marlins grab a World Series ring in ’97. He hit over 280 home runs and 400 doubles during his career. He was a six-time All-Star.
But what he’s most famous for is his contract with the Mets, who still pay him over a million bucks every July 1 (known as “Bobby Bonilla Day”) due to a deferred payment deal. So even though there were some bumps, Bonilla definitely made a mark in baseball, both on and off the field.
Placido Polanco
Placido Polanco, an infielder known for his versatility and defensive prowess, had a solid Major League Baseball career from 1998 to 2013. Polanco, who played for teams such as the St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, and Detroit Tigers, was a two-time All-Star (Tigers, Phillies) and three-time Gold Glove winner (Tigers, Phillies).
He was recognized as an exceptional contact hitter, finishing his career with over 2100 hits and a batting average of .297. In 2006, Polanco was named the ALCS MVP, highlighting his strong performance under pressure.
TERRY PENDLETON
Terry Pendleton, who played from 1984 to 1998, is best known for his time as a third baseman with the Cardinals and Braves. He also had stops with the Marlins, Royals and Reds.
Pendleton was a formidable force at the plate and in the field, winning the National League MVP in 1991 with the Braves, and he was instrumental in their dominance throughout the ’90s.
He won three Gold Gloves for his defensive prowess and had a single all-star appearance in 1992.
Todd Zeile
Todd Zeile had a long career in Major League Baseball, playing for 11 different teams over 16 years from 1989 to 2004. Primarily a third baseman, Zeile also displayed his versatility by playing first base and catcher.
He finished his career with a .265 batting average, racking up 2004 hits, 253 home runs, and 1110 RBIs. Zeile hit a home run in his first and last career at-bats, becoming the only player to do so in MLB history.
He appeared in the postseason six times throughout his career, reaching the World Series with the Mets in 2000.
Preston Wilson
Preston Wilson is a Center Fielder who played in the majors from 1998 to 2007 who was a solid player for most of his career. However, he had one amazing season in 2003 with the Rockies when he led the National League in RBIs with 141, making his lone All-Star game that year.
Thanks to a late-season trade he also won a World Series with the Cardinals in 2006.
