And, it also means that you’re probably stuck on this particular box and you’re looking for a little help. Sound about right so far?

Well, good news, you’re in the right place.

I’ve done some research and have found players who played on both the Phillies and the Rays.

Pat Burrell

Pat Burrell, who played from 2000 to 2011, is best known for his time as a left fielder with the Philadelphia Phillies and San Francisco Giants.

Over his 12-season career, Burrell gathered over 1300 hits, 292 home runs, and a .253 career batting average. While never named an All-Star, Burrell was a key contributor to two World Series championship teams: the 2008 Phillies and the 2010 Giants.

His best statistical season might have been 2002, when he hit .282 with 37 home runs and 116 RBIs.

Matt Joyce

Matt Joyce carved out a notable career as a power-hitting outfielder and designated hitter in the majors from 2008 to 2021. He saw action with several teams, most notably the Tampa Bay Rays.

Joyce posted a career batting average of .242, hit 149 home runs, and drove in 503 runs over his career. He earned an All-Star selection with the Rays in 2011 when he had his most productive offensive season, hitting .277 with 19 home runs and 75 RBIs.

Travis Lee

Travis Lee, a versatile first baseman and outfielder, had an 8-year career in the MLB from 1998 to 2006 with the Diamondbacks, Phillies, Rays, and Yankees.

With a solid glove and left-handed bat, Lee accumulated 115 home runs and 488 RBIs over his career, maintaining a .256 batting average. Lee’s steady defense was a key part of his game, finishing his career with a .997 fielding percentage at first base.

His best season might have been with the Phillies in 2001 when hit .258 with 20 home runs and 90 RBIs.
