Mark Teixeira
Mark Teixeira is renowned in Major League Baseball for his power-hitting and excellent defensive skills as a first baseman. He had an illustrious career from 2003 to 2016, playing for teams like the Texas Rangers, Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Angels, and New York Yankees.
Teixeira was an integral part of the Yankees’ 2009 World Series championship team. He achieved notable feats during his career, earning three All-Star selections and five Gold Glove Awards. Teixeira also led the American League in home runs and RBIs in 2009.
He hit over 30 home runs in nine different seasons, and his career totals include 409 home runs and a batting average of .268 which reflect his impactful presence in the batter’s box.

Ivan Rodriguez
Ivan Rodriguez, also known as “Pudge”, was a beast in baseball from 1991 to 2011. He played for 6 different teams over his career including the Rangers, Tigers, Nationals, Yankees, Astros and Marlins. Rodriguez was a key player in the Marlins’ 2003 World Series win.
He chalked up over 2,800 hits, and hit over 300 home runs in his career with a single-season best 35 home runs in 1999 – his MVP year. Rodriguez made the All-Star team 14 times and won an impressive 13 Gold Gloves for his standout defensive skills.
Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2017, Pudge is often considered one of the best catchers the game has ever seen.

Aroldis Chapman
Aroldis Chapman, nicknamed “The Cuban Missile,” is a pitcher known for his blazing fastball, which has been clocked as high as 105 miles per hour. Chapman made his debut with Cincinnati and was an integral part of the Reds’ bullpen, earning multiple All-Star selections during his tenure with the team.
In late 2015, he was traded to the New York Yankees, but his time in New York was initially short-lived. In mid-2016, Chapman was traded to the Chicago Cubs, where he played a key role in helping the Cubs win the World Series, their first in over 100 years.
After that season, Chapman went back to the Yankees where he continued to have major success, including three additional All-Star selections.

Ruben Sierra
Ruben Sierra, a switch-hitting outfielder and designated hitter, played in Major League Baseball from 1986 to 2006, most notably for the Texas Rangers. Over his two-decade career, Sierra racked up over 2100 hits, 306 home runs, and a batting average of .268.
He made four All-Star teams (Rangers, A’s), won the Silver Slugger Award in 1989 (A’s), and finished second in the AL MVP voting that same year. A key highlight was his 1991 season with the Rangers, where he posted 25 homers and a career-high 116 RBIs.
Corey Kluber
Corey Kluber was drafted in the 4th round of the 2007 MLB Draft by the San Diego Padres and later made his MLB debut with the Cleveland Indians in 2011. Kluber was one of the most dominant pitchers in the league for a span of about five years.
He won the Cy Young Award twice, first in 2014 and then again in 2017, both times with the Indians. Kluber has been named to three All-Star teams and has thrown a no-hitter, which came in 2021 as a member of the New York Yankees.
Kluber played his first 9 seasons in Cleveland but has bounced around more recently in his career with stops at the Rays, Red Sox, Rangers and Yankees.

Bartolo Colon, affectionately known as “Big Sexy”, was a fixture on the mound in baseball from 1997 until 2018. He played for a whole bunch of teams (11), which makes him an extremely versatile player for the Immaculate Grid.
Colon’s career stops included the Indians (now Guardians), Dodgers, Mets, Athletics, White Sox, Twins, Braves, Red Sox, Rangers, Montreal Expos and Yankees.
Colon was a 4-time All-Star and even bagged a Cy Young Award in 2005. He had over 240 wins and more than 2,500 strikeouts.
Otis Nixon
Otis Nixon was a speedy outfielder whose career went from 1983 to 1999. Over those 17 seasons, Nixon played for 9 different teams – Braves, Indians (now Guardians), Montreal Expos, Blue Jays, Twins, Red Sox, Rangers, Dodgers and Yankees.
Nixon wasn’t a big hitter, but he was a whiz on the basepaths, stealing over 620 bases during his career and maintaining a respectable .270 batting average. He’s best remembered for his daring steals and spectacular catches, including an unforgettable game-saving grab in 1992 while with the Braves (video above).
