9 Basketball Players who Played for Jazz and Bucks

I’ve done some research and have found players who played for both the Jazz and the Bucks.
Grayson Allen
Grayson Allen gained widespread attention as a standout player at Duke University, where he played from 2014 to 2018 under head coach Mike Krzyzewski. During his time at Duke, Allen was instrumental in leading the team to a national championship in 2015 and quickly became one of the premier players in college basketball.
Allen was drafted in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. Although he primarily served as a backup guard with the Jazz, Allen’s contributions off the bench strengthened the team’s depth.
After one year with Grizzlies, Allen was traded to the Bucks where he has assumed a consistent starting role, averaging over 10 points per game.
Mo Williams
Mo Williams is probably best known for his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Williams, a 6’1″ point guard, had a 13-year career that spanned from 2003 to 2017.
Williams had a breakout season with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2006-2007, averaging over 17 points per game. He was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2008, where he played alongside LeBron James and was named an All-Star in 2009. His high-scoring and playmaking ability made him a key part of the Cavaliers’ success during his tenure.
After bouncing around the league in the later stages of his career, Williams briefly rejoined the Cavaliers in 2015 and was part of the team’s championship roster in 2016, providing veteran leadership and depth off the bench.

Kyle Korver
Kyle Korver was selected by the New Jersey Nets in the second round of the 2003 NBA Draft, 51st overall, but was immediately traded to the Philadelphia 76ers. The 6-foot-7 shooting guard and small forward played in the NBA for 17 seasons, with stints at the 76ers, Jazz, Bulls, Hawks, Cavaliers, and Bucks.
Korver was best known for his three-point shooting, consistently ranking among the league’s best in three-point percentage. He led the league in three-point percentage four times during his career and was named an NBA All-Star in 2015 while playing for the Hawks.
In his best season, he averaged 12.1 points per game with a 49.2% shooting percentage from beyond the arc.
Ersan Ilyasova
Ersan İlyasova is a professional basketball player who has played in various leagues around the world, including the NBA and EuroLeague. Born in Turkey, Ilyasova’s professional career started in 2004 with Yeşilyurt in the Turkish Basketball League.
He was later drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the second round of the 2005 NBA Draft. Known for his scoring ability and rebounding, Ilyasova played multiple stints with the Bucks and also spent time with several other NBA teams, including the Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, Atlanta Hawks, and Philadelphia 76ers.
For his career, Ilyasova averaged 10.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game in the NBA.
Jae Crowder
Jae Crowder is an NBA player known for his toughness and versatility. He was drafted 34th overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2012 NBA Draft, but was immediately traded to the Dallas Mavericks where he spent the first part of his career.
Crowder has been something of an NBA journeyman, playing for several teams including the Celtics, Cavaliers, Jazz, Grizzlies, Heat, Suns and Bucks. Despite changing teams frequently, Crowder has consistently been valued for his ‘3-and-D skills’ (three-point shooting and defense), as well as his ability to play both forward positions.
He has played crucial roles in deep playoff runs for several teams, including the Miami Heat in 2020, where he helped the team reach the NBA Finals, and the Phoenix Suns in 2021, also reaching the NBA Finals.
Rodney Hood
Rodney Hood was selected as the 23rd overall pick in the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. He played with the Jazz for three and a half seasons, showing promise as a scorer.
Hood has played for several NBA teams during his career, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Portland Trail Blazers, Toronto Raptors, Milwaukee Bucks and LA Clippers. While with the Cavs, he reached the NBA Finals in the 2017-2018 season, although the team lost to the Golden State Warriors.
Known for his shooting ability, especially from beyond the three-point line, Hood has had seasons where he averaged double-digit points per game. His combination of size and skill has allowed him to contribute as a wing player in various systems.
Richard Jefferson
Richard Jefferson spent 17 seasons in the NBA. Known for his athleticism and scoring ability, he played for several teams but is probably best remembered for his time with the New Jersey Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers.
He was drafted by the Houston Rockets with the 13th overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft and was subsequently traded to the New Jersey Nets. With the Nets, Jefferson reached the NBA Finals in his rookie and sophomore seasons alongside teammates Jason Kidd and Kenyon Martin.
In 2016, Jefferson won an NBA Championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He played a key supporting role alongside LeBron James, helping the Cavaliers come back from a 3-1 series deficit in the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors.
Wesley Matthews
Undrafted out of Marquette University in 2009, Wesley Matthews earned a roster spot with the Utah Jazz, making an immediate impact with his play. After a successful stint in Utah, he signed with the Portland Trail Blazers where he solidified his reputation as one of the league’s best 3-and-D players.
He became a critical piece of the Blazers’ backcourt alongside Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, particularly excelling in 3-point shooting. Matthews ruptured his Achilles tendon in 2015, a significant setback, but returned to play for the Mavericks and has since bounced around with different teams.
Despite the various team changes, his consistency as a shooter and defender has remained, offering valuable contributions in the regular season and playoffs.
Greg Foster
Greg Foster’s NBA journey began when he was selected 35th overall by the Washington Bullets in the 1990 NBA Draft. Throughout his NBA career, he played for several teams, including the Hawks, Bucks, Bulls, Timberwolves, Jazz, SuperSonics, and Lakers.
While never a star, Foster’s ability to play both power forward and center positions, coupled with his defensive presence, made him a valued rotation player.
One of the highlights of Foster’s career was his time with the Utah Jazz during the late 1990s. He played a supporting role alongside Hall of Famers Karl Malone and John Stockton, contributing to the team’s successful runs to the NBA Finals in 1997 and 1998.
