Fans tend to do the same thing. It’s always more fun to pull for a player when they’re from your home state (or even your hometown), especially when that player also happens to be playing on your favorite team.
With all that in mind, we went through NFL.com and pulled the home states (or, in a few cases, countries) of every player on the 53-man active rosters for each team.

Hjalte Froholdt
Hjalte Froholdt, born in Svendborg, a picturesque city on the island of Funen in Denmark, represents a unique story in professional football. Froholdt started his athletic career playing soccer, a popular sport in Denmark, but later shifted to American football, a relatively less followed sport in his home country.
His transition to American football began when he moved to the United States as a foreign exchange student and attended Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, Ohio. Here, he quickly made his mark as a talented defensive lineman.
Froholdt’s journey took an impressive turn when he was recruited to play college football at the University of Arkansas, transitioning to the offensive line. His time at Arkansas was marked by significant development, culminating in him being drafted into the NFL.
Froholdt’s path from Svendborg to the NFL is a remarkable example of international talent making its mark in American football, showcasing his adaptability and skill in a sport that was not a traditional choice in his home country.
