I’ve done some research and have found players who played for both the Chargers and Colts.

Philip Rivers

Philip Rivers was selected as the fourth overall pick in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the New York Giants but was subsequently traded to the San Diego Chargers. He played 16 seasons with the Chargers and one final season with the Indianapolis Colts before retiring.

A highly regarded quarterback known for his accuracy and competitive spirit, Rivers was named to the Pro Bowl eight times during his career. He finished his career with 63,440 passing yards, 421 touchdown passes, and a passer rating of 95.2.

Some of his career highlights include leading the NFL in passing yards in 2010, completion percentage in 2013, and touchdown passes in 2008. Rivers never captured a Super Bowl title, but his impressive statistical achievements and leadership on and off the field solidified his legacy as one of the top quarterbacks of his era.

Dwight Freeney

Dwight Freeney had a highly successful career in the NFL, standing out as one of the most feared defensive ends of his time. He was drafted by the Indianapolis Colts with the 11th overall pick of the 2002 NFL Draft. Freeney spent the majority of his career with the Colts (2002 to 2012), and became a key figure in their defense.

Over the span of his illustrious career, he accumulated 125.5 sacks, 47 forced fumbles, and 350 tackles. Freeney was a force to be reckoned with on the field, earning seven Pro Bowl selections and three First-Team All-Pro nods. One of the highlights of his career was winning Super Bowl XLI with the Colts.

After leaving the Colts, Freeney had stints with several other teams including the San Diego Chargers, Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks, and Detroit Lions before retiring in 2017.

Jim Harbaugh

Jim Harbaugh, known for his intense competitiveness, had a successful 14-year career as an NFL quarterback, primarily with the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts.

Selected in the first round of the 1987 NFL Draft by the Bears, Harbaugh earned the nickname “Captain Comeback” for his ability to orchestrate late-game heroics, most notably with the Colts. His standout season came in 1995 when he led the Colts to the AFC Championship Game and finished runner-up in the NFL’s MVP voting.

He was also named to the Pro Bowl that year. Later, Harbaugh had stints with the Baltimore Ravens and San Diego Chargers before retiring from his playing career.

Antonio Cromartie

Antonio Cromartie was selected by the San Diego Chargers as the 19th overall pick in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft. During his career, he played as a cornerback for several teams including the Chargers, New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals, and Indianapolis Colts.

Cromartie was named to four Pro Bowls and was a First-Team All-Pro in 2007. In that remarkable 2007 season, he led the NFL with 10 interceptions. Throughout his 11-year career, he recorded a total of 420 tackles, 31 interceptions, and 115 pass deflections.

Cromartie’s ability to read plays and his agility in coverage made him one of the standout cornerbacks of his generation. His length and athleticism were instrumental in his success at breaking up passes and securing interceptions.

Charlie Whitehurst

Charlie Whitehurst, known affectionately as “Clipboard Jesus” for his long hair and backup quarterback role, spent 7 seasons in the NFL. He was originally drafted in the third round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers.

Whitehurst had the most playing time with the Seattle Seahawks in 2010 and 2011 and with the Tennessee Titans in 2014. He also spent time with the Indianapolis Colts and the Cleveland Browns.

He finished his career with 9 starts in 25 game appearances, passing for 2463 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions.
