And, it also means that you’re probably stuck on this particular box and you’re looking for a little help. Sound about right so far?

Well, good news, you’re in the right place.

I’ve done some research and have found players who played on both the Chiefs and Falcons.

Tony Gonzalez

Tony Gonzalez was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 1st round of the 1997 NFL Draft, 13th overall. Over his 17-year NFL career, he played for the Chiefs and the Atlanta Falcons.

Gonzalez quickly established himself as one of the premier tight ends in the league, earning 14 Pro Bowl selections and 6 First-team All-Pro honors. He recorded 1,325 receptions for 15,127 yards and 111 touchdowns during his career, and his receptions and yardage totals were NFL records for a tight end at the time of his retirement.

His remarkable consistency and extraordinary skill set made him one of the most influential tight ends in the history of the sport. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest players at his position.

Gonzalez Key Stats

Andre Rison

Andre Rison was selected in the first round, 22nd overall, by the Indianapolis Colts in the 1989 NFL Draft. Throughout his career, Rison’s big-play ability made him one of the most exciting receivers of his era, and his contributions on the field were often matched by his colorful personality off of it.

During his career, Rison played for multiple teams including the Colts, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Oakland Raiders. As a wide receiver, he amassed over 10,000 receiving yards and 84 touchdown receptions.

He was a five-time Pro Bowl selection and a First-Team All-Pro in 1990. He was also a key mid-season addition to the Packers team that ended up winning Super Bowl XXXI.

Rison Key Stats

  • Super Bowl Champ (Packers)
  • 1000+ Yard Receiving Season (Falcons, Chiefs)

Joe Horn

Joe Horn was selected in the fifth round of the 1996 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs, but his career really took off when he joined the Saints in 2000.

During his seven seasons with the Saints, Horn became one of the top receivers in the league, earning four Pro Bowl selections and surpassing 1,000 receiving yards in a season four times. He finished his career with 603 receptions for 8744 yards and 58 touchdowns.

Horn is perhaps best remembered for his flamboyant touchdown celebrations, most notably in a 2003 game when he famously pulled a cell phone from beneath the goalpost padding after scoring a touchdown. Despite the “controversy”, he is considered one of the best receivers in Saints history.

Horn Key Stats

  • Pro Bowl (Saints)

Steve DeBerg

Steve DeBerg was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 10th round of the 1977 NFL Draft, 275th overall. DeBerg’s NFL career totals include 34,241 passing yards and 196 touchdown passes. He completed 2,874 of his 5,024 passing attempts, leading to a 57.2% completion rate. He also threw 204 interceptions.

One of the highlights of DeBerg’s career was his ability to continue playing at a high level despite his age. He started games in three different decades, and he became (at the time) the oldest player to start at quarterback in an NFL game at the age of 44 years and 279 days.

DeBerg Key Stats

  • 3000+ Passing Yard Season (49ers, Chiefs)

Morten Anderson

Morten Andersen is one of the most successful kickers in NFL history. Born in Denmark, he was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the 4th round of the 1982 NFL Draft. Andersen played for several teams over his illustrious 25-year career, including the Saints, Falcons, Giants, Chiefs, and Vikings.

Among Andersen’s career highlights are his seven Pro Bowl selections and three First-team All-Pro honors. He is the NFL’s all-time leader in games played with 382 and was the all-time leading scorer until Adam Vinatieri surpassed him.
