Football Players who Played for Raiders and Bills

There is a good chance that if you’ve found this page then you’re playing the Immaculate Grid.

That also means that today’s grid has asked for players that have played for both the Las Vegas Raiders and Buffalo Bills.

And, it also means that you’re probably stuck on this particular box and you’re looking for a little help. Sound about right so far?

Well, good news, you’re in the right place.

I’ve done some research and have found players who played on both the Raiders and Bills.

Marshawn Lynch

Marshawn Lynch, famously known as “Beast Mode,” had a prominent career, primarily with the Seattle Seahawks and Buffalo Bills. Selected by the Bills in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft, Lynch had a decent start to his career but truly flourished after being traded to the Seahawks in 2010.

His bruising running style earned him five Pro Bowl selections, and he led the league in rushing touchdowns twice. Lynch’s iconic 67-yard “Beast Quake” touchdown run in the 2011 playoffs against the New Orleans Saints is considered one of the best runs in NFL history.

Over his career, Lynch accumulated 10,413 rushing yards and scored 85 rushing touchdowns. Finally, he helped lead the Seahawks to their first Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl XLVIII.

Lynch Key Stats

  • 1st Team All-Pro (Seahawks)
  • Pro Bowl (Seahawks, Bills)
  • Super Bowl Winner (Seahawks)
  • 1000+ Yard Rushing Season (Bills, Seahawks)

Zay Jones

Zay Jones is a wide receiver who was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft. After a successful career at East Carolina University, where he set the NCAA Division I record for career receptions, Jones had a promising start with the Bills but ultimately didn’t live up to expectations.

Jones was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders during the 2019 season. He played a more secondary role in the Raiders’ receiving corps, providing depth and contributing on special teams.

This past season with the Jaguars was the best season of Jones’ career thus far racking up 82 receptions, 823 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns.

James Lofton

James Lofton had a distinguished NFL career from 1978 to 1993, primarily with the Green Bay Packers. He was a key player in Green Bay’s offense for almost a decade, earning seven Pro Bowl selections during his time with the team.

Lofton, known for his speed and deep-threat capability, finished his career with 764 receptions, 14,004 receiving yards and 75 touchdowns.

His career also included stints with the Los Angeles Raiders, the Buffalo Bills (where he helped lead the team to two Super Bowl appearances), the Los Angeles Rams, and the Philadelphia Eagles. After his playing career, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2003.

Lofton Key Stats

  • Hall of Fame
  • Pro Bowl (Packers, Bills)
  • 1000+ Yards Receiving Season (Packers, Bills)

Rob Johnson

Rob Johnson, a product of USC, was selected in the fourth round of the 1995 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Though he was largely a backup to Mark Brunell during his time with the Jaguars, Johnson made an impression in his first career start, leading the Jaguars to a victory with 294 passing yards and two touchdowns.

His performance caught the attention of the Buffalo Bills, who traded for him in 1998. However, Johnson’s time in Buffalo was marked by a competitive and somewhat controversial quarterback controversy with Doug Flutie.

Following his stint in Buffalo, Johnson went on to have shorter stints with several teams, including the Buccaneers (won a ring in 2002), Redskins, Raiders, and Giants. Despite never becoming a long-term starter, Johnson remained a respected player for his abilities and commitment.
