Football Players who Played for Steelers and Seahawks

I’ve done some research and have found players who played for both the Steelers and the Seahawks.

Franco Harris

Franco Harris is a former NFL running back who is mostly remembered for his stellar career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, with whom he played from 1972 to 1983 before playing his final season with the Seattle Seahawks in 1984.

Harris was selected by the Steelers in the first round of the 1972 NFL Draft with the 13th overall pick. His entrance into the NFL was nothing short of remarkable, earning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors in 1972.

Harris was selected to the Pro Bowl nine times and was a key player in the Steelers’ dominant run in the 1970s, helping the team secure four Super Bowl titles. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1990.

Finally, Harris was on the receiving end of the “Immaculate Reception” in 1972, one of the most famous plays in NFL history, where he caught a deflected pass and ran it in for a touchdown, helping the Steelers to a dramatic playoff victory over the Oakland Raiders.

Levon Kirkland

Levon Kirkland had a prolific NFL career, primarily playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was drafted by the Steelers in the second round of the 1992 NFL Draft with the 38th overall pick.

Kirkland played for the Steelers for 9 seasons, where he became a central figure in their defense. He earned two Pro Bowl selections and was named a First-team All-Pro in 1997. Kirkland was known for his remarkable consistency and toughness, as evidenced by his period of 89 consecutive starts with the Steelers from 1995 to 2000.

In 2001, he joined the Seattle Seahawks, and in his final season in 2002, he played for the Philadelphia Eagles. Finally, he was known for his remarkable size as a linebacker, often weighing around 270 pounds, but still maintaining the agility and speed to be a dominant force on the defense.

Chad Brown

Chad Brown is a former NFL linebacker who enjoyed a substantial career in the league. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the second round of the 1993 NFL Draft, the 44th pick overall.

During his time with the Steelers, Brown established himself as a dynamic player, earning a Pro Bowl nod in 1996. In 1997, he signed with the Seahawks, where he played for eight seasons, earning two more Pro Bowl selections. He also earned 1st Team All-Pro honors with both teams, in ’96 with the Steelers and ’98 with the Seahawks.

Later, he had brief stints with the New England Patriots and returned to the Steelers for a season in between in 2006.
