That also means that today’s grid has asked for players who have played for both the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals.

And, it also means that you’re probably stuck on this particular box and you’re looking for a little help. Sound about right so far?

Well, good news, you’re in the right place.

I’ve done some research and have found players who played on both the Texans and Cardinals.

JJ Watt

J.J. Watt was selected in the first round, 11th overall, by the Houston Texans in the 2011 NFL Draft. Over his illustrious career, Watt has become one of the most dominant defensive players in the league. He’s been named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year three times and has been selected to the Pro Bowl five times.

Watt’s key stats include over 400 solo tackles, more than 110 sacks, 27 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions. His combination of size, speed, and technique has made him one of the premier pass-rushers of his era.

After spending a decade with the Texans, Watt signed with the Arizona Cardinals in 2021. Beyond his on-field achievements, he’s also known for his philanthropic efforts, particularly his fundraising for Hurricane Harvey relief in Houston.

Tyrann Mathieu

Tyrann Mathieu, often referred to as the “Honey Badger” because of his aggressive style of play and smaller stature relative to his position. Mathieu played college football at LSU, where his dynamic plays as a defensive back and punt returner garnered significant attention.

Mathieu entered the 2013 NFL Draft and was selected in the third round by the Arizona Cardinals. With the Cardinals, he quickly showcased his ability to make plays all over the field and became one of the league’s top safeties.

In 2019, Mathieu signed with the Kansas City Chiefs and played an instrumental role in their Super Bowl LIV victory. In addition to the team accolades, he is a 3x All-Pro and a 3x Pro Bowler.
