Jeff Petry
Jeff Petry was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the second round, 45th overall, at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Petry started his NHL career with the Oilers, where he improved significantly in his second season, leading all Oilers defensemen in points with 25.
Petry played for the Oilers until 2015, when he was traded to the Montreal Canadiens. On July 16, 2022, Petry was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins along with forward Ryan Poehling in exchange for Mike Matheson and a 2023 fourth-round draft pick.
Despite generating 31 points in 61 games during his first season with the Penguins, there was a general sense of disappointment with his performance, as he missed time due to injury and the Penguins missed the playoffs for the first time in 17 years.
Aleš Hemský
Aleš Hemský, a retired Czech player, was selected 13th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut in 2002. He had a significant career year in the 2005-06 season, scoring 19 goals and 58 assists, helping the Oilers reach the Stanley Cup Finals.
Hemský played for the Oilers until 2014, when he was traded to the Ottawa Senators. He quickly found success with the Senators, recording six points in his first three games. Hemský then signed with the Dallas Stars in 2014, where he played until 2017 before joining the Montreal Canadiens.
Internationally, Hemský represented the Czech Republic at the Winter Olympics, winning a bronze medal in 2006, and participated in the IIHF World Championships, winning gold in 2005 and bronze in 2012.

Vincent Damphousse
Vincent Damphousse began his NHL career with the Maple Leafs after being drafted sixth overall in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. Jim Dowd
Jim Dowd, an American former center, had a remarkable 17-season NHL career, playing for ten different teams. He made history by becoming the first New Jersey native to play for the New Jersey Devils, with whom he debuted in the 1991-92 season after a successful college career.
Dowd’s tenure with the Devils was highlighted by scoring the game-winning goal in Game 2 of the 1995 Stanley Cup Finals, helping them secure their first championship.
After leaving the Devils, Jim Dowd played for a series of NHL teams, including the Whalers, Canucks, Islanders, Flames, Predators, Oilers, Wild, Canadiens, Blackhawks, and Avalanche.
