I’ve already done the research and have put together a list of well-known stars along with some more “under-the-radar” players that could land you a low rarity score.

Pierre Turgeon

Pierre Turgeon was drafted first overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft, Turgeon quickly made an impact and lived up to the expectations that come with being a top pick. Over his career, he established himself as one of the league’s premier centers, amassing over 1,300 points.

His time with the New York Islanders brought both career highlights and one of its most infamous moments. During the 1993 playoffs, after scoring a crucial goal, Turgeon was blindsided by a hit from Dale Hunter of the Washington Capitals, an incident that resulted in a significant suspension for Hunter.

In addition to his stints with the Sabres and Islanders, he also played for the Canadiens, Blues, Stars, and Avalanche. Turgeon’s legacy in the NHL is defined by his graceful play, impressive point totals, and the respect he garnered from both teammates and opponents alike. He remains one of the highest-scoring players of his era.

Max Domi

Max Domi was selected 12th overall by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft​​​​. Domi’s career in the NHL began with the Arizona Coyotes (previously Phoenix), where he quickly made a name for himself. He scored his first NHL goal and assist in his debut against the Kings in 2015 and achieved his first career NHL hat trick in 2016 against the Oilers​​.

Domi’s journey in the NHL has seen him play for several teams. After the Coyotes, he was traded to the Canadiens in 2018. In Montreal, he achieved a significant milestone by scoring 72 points in the 2018-19 season, the first Canadiens player to do so since 2009-10.

In 2020, Domi moved to the Columbus Blue Jackets, followed by a trade to the Carolina Hurricanes in 2022. Domi then signed with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2022 and was traded to the Dallas Stars in 2023. As of July 2023, Domi joined the Toronto Maple Leafs on a one-year contract​​​​.

Corey Perry

Corey Perry is currently serving as an alternate captain for the Chicago Blackhawks. He spent the first 14 years of his career with the Anaheim Ducks and also played for the Stars, Canadiens, and Lightning. Perry is recognized for his goal-scoring prowess and abrasive playing style, earning nicknames like “Scorey Perry” and “The Worm.”

Drafted in the first round, 28th overall, by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Perry won the Stanley Cup with the Ducks in 2007. His career trajectory continued to rise, recording 29 goals and 25 assists in 2008, improving to 72 points in 2009, and being named to his first NHL All-Star Game.

In the 2010-11 season, Perry won the Hart Memorial Trophy as the league’s most valuable player, leading the NHL with 50 goals and finishing third in points with 98. Internationally, Perry has been equally successful, winning gold medals with Canada at the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics.

Aleš Hemský

Aleš Hemský, a retired Czech player, was selected 13th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft and made his NHL debut in 2002. He had a significant career year in the 2005-06 season, scoring 19 goals and 58 assists, helping the Oilers reach the Stanley Cup Finals.

Hemský played for the Oilers until 2014, when he was traded to the Ottawa Senators. He quickly found success with the Senators, recording six points in his first three games. Hemský then signed with the Dallas Stars in 2014, where he played until 2017 before joining the Montreal Canadiens.

Internationally, Hemský represented the Czech Republic at the Winter Olympics, winning a bronze medal in 2006, and participated in the IIHF World Championships, winning gold in 2005 and bronze in 2012.
