Baseball Players who Played for Cubs and White Sox

I’ve done some research and have found players who played for both the Cubs and the White Sox.
Ron Santo
Ron Santo was a renowned third baseman for the Chicago Cubs during a career that spanned from 1960 to 1974 (played only one season, his last, in another uniform – White Sox).
Santo was known as much for his prowess with his glove as he was with his bat, earning 5 Gold Glove Awards (Cubs) during his tenure. Santo finished his career with a .277 batting average with 342 home runs and 1331 RBIs. An impressive 9-time All-Star (Cubs), Santo led the league in walks 4 times and recorded a league-best .412 OBP in 1966.
Despite his impressive stats and influence on the game, Santo had to wait until 2012, posthumously, to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Sammy Sosa
Sammy Sosa, a power-hitting outfielder from the Dominican Republic, played in the Major Leagues from 1989 to 2007, most famously for the Chicago Cubs.
Sosa hit over 600 home runs in his career, making him one of only nine players to achieve this feat. He was named an All-Star seven times (Cubs), won the National League MVP (Cubs) in 1998, and was renowned for his homerun race with Mark McGwire that same year.
Despite some controversy surrounding performance-enhancing drugs later in his career, Sosa’s exuberant personality and remarkable power at the plate left a significant impact on the sport.

Craig Kimbrel
Craig Kimbrel made his MLB debut with the Atlanta Braves in 2010, quickly earning the closer role. In his rookie season, he recorded 46 saves, a 2.10 ERA, and was named the NL Rookie of the Year. He went on to lead the National League in saves for four consecutive seasons from 2011 to 2014, earning All-Star honors in each of those years.
After his time with the Braves, Kimbrel played for the San Diego Padres before being traded to the Boston Red Sox. He continued to be one of the league’s best closers, helping the Red Sox win the World Series in 2018 with some crucial postseason performances.
Kimbrel’s later career has included stints with the Cubs, White Sox, Dodgers and Phillies. His ability to strike out batters at a high rate and close out games with efficiency has been a hallmark of his career.
