Baseball Players who Played for Dodgers and Astros

There is a good chance that if you’ve found this page then you’re playing the Immaculate Grid.

That also means that today’s grid has asked for players that have played for both the Los Angeles Dodgers and Houston Astros.

And, it also means that you’re probably stuck on this particular box and you’re looking for a little help. Sound about right so far?

Well, good news, you’re in the right place.

I’ve done some research and have found players who played for both the Dodgers and Astros.

ZacK Greinke

Zack Greinke has been a dynamite pitcher in baseball since he first hit the mound in 2004. He’s played for a handful of teams, including the Royals, Dodgers, Astros, Diamondbacks, Brewers and Angels. Greinke took home the Cy Young Award in 2009 while with the Royals.

He has accumulated over 200 wins and more than 2,600 strikeouts. He’s made several All-Star appearances and is also known for his batting skills, a rarity among pitchers.

*Greinke has been the most popular pick for this square in a previous grid (Grid 100).

Jeff Kent

Jeff Kent was a powerhouse from 1992 to 2008. Like me, most of you probably think of him as a San Francisco Giant, but Kent also played for the Mets, Dodgers, Astros, Indians (now Guardians) and Blue Jays.

A second baseman with serious pop in his bat, Kent earned the MVP title in 2000 with the Giants. He had 33 home runs that year with 125 RBIs.

Over his career, he hit over 370 home runs, racked up more than 1,500 RBIs, and had an impressive 560 doubles. Kent was selected for the All-Star game five times.

Brad Ausmus

Brad Ausmus, who played from 1993 to 2010, is best known for his time as a catcher with the Houston Astros.

Ausmus had a solid career, logging over 1500 hits, 80 home runs, and a .251 career batting average. He also stole 102 bases, a high number for a catcher. He was a three-time Gold Glove winner (Astros), a testament to his defensive prowess behind the plate, and was named an All-Star (Tigers) in 1999.

Ausmus’s leadership skills were always apparent, and after his playing days, he transitioned into a managerial role, leading both the Detroit Tigers and the Los Angeles Angels.

Josh Reddick

Josh Reddick is an MLB outfielder known for his strong defensive play and solid offensive contributions. After starting his career with the Boston Red Sox in 2009, he had his breakout season with the Oakland Athletics in 2012 when he won a Gold Glove and hit 32 home runs.

Reddick then went on to play for the Houston Astros from 2017 to 2020, where he contributed to the team’s 2017 World Series championship.

For his career, Reddick was a .262 hitter with 146 home runs and 575 RBIs.
