5 Basketball Players who Played for Nuggets and Magic

I’ve done some research and have found players who played for both the Nuggets and the Magic.
Aaron Gordon
Aaron Gordon was selected in the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft, 4th overall, by the Orlando Magic.
Throughout his career, Gordon has been known for his athleticism, versatility, and highlight-reel dunks. He’s a two-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest participant, famously finishing as the runner-up in the 2016 contest in one of the most memorable dunk battles in history.
After spending parts of seven seasons with the Magic, Gordon was traded to the Denver Nuggets in 2021, where he became a key part of their rotation. His ability to play both forward positions and contribute on both ends of the floor continues to make him a valuable asset in the league.

DJ Augustin
Following an impressive sophomore year at the University of Texas, where he averaged 19.2 points and 5.8 assists, DJ Augustin was drafted 9th overall by the Charlotte Bobcats in the 2008 NBA Draft.
Over his NBA career, Augustin has displayed strong playmaking and shooting skills, particularly his three-point shooting. For example, during the 2013-2014 season with the Chicago Bulls, he averaged 14.9 points per game and shot an impressive 41.1% from the three-point line.
A journeyman in the league, Augustin has played for multiple teams (11 in total), consistently contributing off the bench. He’s had several seasons where he averaged double-digit points and solid assists numbers, like in the 2010-2011 season where he averaged 14.4 points and 6.1 assists per game with the Bobcats.

Mike Miller
Mike Miller was a player known for his shooting ability, particularly beyond the arc. He was selected as the 5th overall pick in the 2000 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic, and his standout performances during his rookie season earned him the NBA Rookie of the Year Award.
In 2003, he joined the Memphis Grizzlies, where he was named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year for the 2005-2006 season. Miller’s career then took him to the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Washington Wizards, but it was his tenure with the Miami Heat that brought him significant recognition.
Joining the Heat in 2010, Miller played a key role in the team’s back-to-back NBA Championships in 2012 and 2013. He made a significant contribution in Game 5 of the 2012 NBA Finals, when he made 7 of 8 three-point attempts, helping the Heat secure the championship.
Jeff Green
Jeff Green has played for numerous teams in the NBA. He was initially drafted 5th overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2007 NBA Draft, though he was immediately traded to the Seattle SuperSonics, where he spent the first part of his career.
Green has had a journeyman career, playing for 11 different teams in his 15-year career including the Thunder, Celtics, Grizzlies, Clippers, Magic, Cavaliers, Wizards, Jazz, Rockets, Nets, and Nuggets. He was a solid contributor to the Nuggets Championship this past season.
Green’s versatility and ability to play both inside and outside have allowed him to fit into various roles on different teams. He’s been both a starter and a valuable bench player throughout his career, contributing with his scoring, rebounding, and ability to defend multiple positions.
Al Harrington
Al Harrington’s NBA journey began straight out of high school when he was selected 25th overall by the Indiana Pacers in the 1998 NBA Draft.
As a young player with the Pacers, he developed under the guidance of coach Larry Bird and alongside a core group that included Reggie Miller. Over time, Harrington carved out a significant role for himself with the Pacers, demonstrating his scoring touch and basketball IQ.
Throughout his NBA career, Harrington played for several teams, including the Pacers, Hawks, Warriors, Knicks, Nuggets, Magic, and Wizards. Among his career highlights was his stint with the Golden State Warriors during the “We Believe” era, where he was part of the team’s memorable upset of the top-seeded Mavericks in the ’07 playoffs.
