Dion Phaneuf
Dion Phaneuf was selected ninth overall by the Calgary Flames in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He quickly established himself as one of the league’s top young defensemen, finishing third for the Calder Trophy (Rookie of the Year) in his debut season.
During his tenure with the Flames, he became renowned for his hard hits and ability to quarterback the power play. In 2010, Phaneuf was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he was soon named team captain.
After the Leafs, Phaneuf had stints with the Ottawa Senators and Los Angeles Kings. His time with the Senators included a deep playoff run in 2017, where the team reached the Eastern Conference Finals.

Olli Jokinen
Olli Jokinen began his NHL career when he was selected by the Los Angeles Kings as the 3rd overall pick in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft. However, it was with the Panthers that Jokinen truly came into his own, serving as the team’s captain and becoming their all-time leading scorer during his tenure.
After Florida, Jokinen played for several other NHL teams, including the Phoenix Coyotes, Calgary Flames, New York Rangers, Winnipeg Jets, Nashville Predators, Toronto Maple Leafs, and St. Louis Blues. Throughout his career, he was known for his consistency in scoring, with multiple seasons registering over 50 points.
In addition to his NHL contributions, Jokinen had a distinguished international career representing Finland. He participated in various World Championships, World Cup of Hockey tournaments, and Olympic Games, often playing crucial roles for the Finnish national team.

Tyler Toffoli
Tyler Toffoli was selected in the second round, 47th overall, by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Toffoli’s combination of scoring ability, hockey IQ, and work ethic have made him an important asset for the teams he’s played for, as well as a fan favorite.
Toffoli played for the Kings from 2012 to 2020, where he helped the team win the Stanley Cup in 2014. He was then traded to the Canucks during the 2019-2020 season before signing with the Canadiens in 2020. In his first season with the Canadiens, Toffoli was instrumental in the team’s surprising run to the Stanley Cup Finals.
He has developed a reputation as a consistent scorer and two-way player, contributing both offensively and defensively. Over his career, he has notched several 20+ goal seasons, including a career-high 34 goals in the 2022-23 season with Calgary.
Milan Lucic
Milan Lucic was selected in the second round, 50th overall, by the Boston Bruins in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. His combination of size, skill, and physicality has made Lucic a unique player in the NHL, and his style of play has endeared him to fans and teammates alike.
During his time with the Bruins, Lucic played an integral role in the team’s 2011 Stanley Cup victory. Known for his physical play, he has become one of the NHL’s premier power forwards, providing a mix of scoring and toughness. Lucic played with the Bruins until 2015, then had stints with the Kings, Oilers, and Flames.
Lucic has recorded several 20+ goal seasons in his career, including a career-high 30 goals in the 2010-2011 season. He has also been a consistent presence in the playoffs, contributing valuable experience and grit.
Jarome Iginla
Jarome Iginla was selected 11th overall by the Dallas Stars in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft but was traded to the Calgary Flames, where he spent the majority of his career and became a franchise icon. Over his 20-year career in the NHL, Iginla also played for the Penguins, Bruins, Avalanche, and Kings.
He served as captain for the Flames and became the franchise’s all-time leader in goals, points, and games played. Iginla was a two-time winner of the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy as the league’s top goal-scorer and also won the Art Ross Trophy as the league’s leading point scorer in the 2001-2002 season.
He was a six-time All-Star and earned two Olympic Gold Medals representing Canada in 2002 and 2010. In total, Iginla tallied 625 goals and 675 assists for 1,300 points. He retired in 2018 and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2020.
