David Savard
David Savard was selected in the 4th round, 94th overall, by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2009 NHL Draft. Savard played a crucial defensive role for the Blue Jackets over his tenure with the team, showing strong physical play and excellent shot-blocking abilities.
In April 2021, Savard was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning, where he immediately contributed to their defense en route to winning the Stanley Cup in the 2020-2021 season. His veteran presence, physicality, and defensive acumen were highly valued by the Lightning as they made their successful run for the championship.
Savard’s career represents a story of consistent development and ultimate triumph at the NHL’s highest level.
Corey Perry
Corey Perry is currently serving as an alternate captain for the Chicago Blackhawks. He spent the first 14 years of his career with the Anaheim Ducks and also played for the Stars, Canadiens, and Lightning. Perry is recognized for his goal-scoring prowess and abrasive playing style, earning nicknames like “Scorey Perry” and “The Worm.”
Drafted in the first round, 28th overall, by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Perry won the Stanley Cup with the Ducks in 2007. His career trajectory continued to rise, recording 29 goals and 25 assists in 2008, improving to 72 points in 2009, and being named to his first NHL All-Star Game.

Nate Thompson
Nate Thompson is an American former professional ice hockey forward with a diverse NHL career. Drafted by the Boston Bruins in the sixth round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Thompson’s professional journey began with major junior hockey for the WHL’s Seattle Thunderbirds before moving to the Bruins’ AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins.
Thompson’s NHL debut came in the 2006–07 season with the Bruins, but he spent the majority of that season in the AHL. In 2008 he was claimed off waivers by the Islanders and, despite a series of injuries, he scored his first NHL goal. In the 2009–10 season, Thompson moved to the Lightning, where he achieved career-highs in goals, assists, and points.
After his time with the Lightning, Thompson spent the next 8 seasons bouncing around quite a few different teams including the Ducks, Senators, Kings, Canadiens, Flyers, Jets, and finally, the Flyers again.
