Hockey Players who Played for Lightning and Devils

I’ve already done the research and have put together a list of well-known stars along with some more “under-the-radar” players that could land you a low rarity score.

Blake Coleman

Blake Coleman was selected in the 3rd round, 75th overall, by the New Jersey Devils in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut during the 2016–2017 season with the Devils and gained a reputation as a gritty, two-way forward.

Coleman won back-to-back Stanley Cup championships with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021. Known for his penalty-killing abilities and knack for scoring short-handed goals, he has become a valuable role player in the league.

Coleman has played for 3 teams in his 7-year career – the Devils, Lightning and Flames. His contributions on both ends of the ice make him an important asset for any team he plays for.

Sean Burke

Sean Burke had a long and distinguished career as a goaltender in the NHL. Burke was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the second round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft.

He made his NHL debut during the 1987-1988 season with the Devils. Over the course of his career, he played for several NHL teams, including the New Jersey Devils, Hartford Whalers, Carolina Hurricanes, Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers, Florida Panthers, Phoenix Coyotes, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Los Angeles Kings.

One of the highlights of Burke’s career was his role as the starting goaltender for Team Canada in various international competitions, including the Winter Olympics and the World Cup of Hockey. He was known for his strong play in high-pressure situations and represented Canada with distinction.

Dave Andreychuk

Dave Andreychuk had a distinguished career in the NHL, known especially for his goal-scoring prowess and leadership. His career spanned over two decades, during which he played for several teams including the Sabres, Maple Leafs, Devils, Bruins, Avalanche and Lightning.

One of the highlights of his career came later in his tenure with the Tampa Bay Lightning, where he served as the team captain. Under his leadership, the Lightning won the Stanley Cup in 2004. This victory was particularly special as it came towards the end of his career, and the Stanley Cup had eluded him until then.

Andreychuk retired as one of the highest-scoring left-wingers in NHL history, holding the record for most career power-play goals for some time. His longevity in the league, consistent scoring ability, and leadership on and off the ice were hallmarks of his career. In recognition of his achievements, Andreychuk was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Pat Maroon

Pat Maroon was drafted 161st overall by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2007 NHL Draft. Over the early part of his career, Maroon bounced between the NHL and the AHL, eventually establishing himself as a solid NHL player with the Anaheim Ducks where he spent several seasons.

Maroon’s career took a turn for the spectacular when he won three consecutive Stanley Cups with two different teams, a remarkable achievement in modern NHL.

He secured his first Cup with the St. Louis Blues in 2019 and then won back-to-back Cups with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2020 and 2021.
