Ulf Samuelsson

With the Penguins, Samuelsson was a key component of their back-to-back Stanley Cup-winning teams in 1991 and 1992.
While he was a reliable defenseman with solid puck-moving skills, Samuelsson was often in the spotlight for his hard-hitting style of play, which occasionally straddled the line between aggressive and injurious. Jeff Petry
Jeff Petry was drafted by the Edmonton Oilers in the second round, 45th overall, at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Petry started his NHL career with the Oilers, where he improved significantly in his second season, leading all Oilers defensemen in points with 25.
Petry played for the Oilers until 2015, when he was traded to the Montreal Canadiens. On July 16, 2022, Petry was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins along with forward Ryan Poehling in exchange for Mike Matheson and a 2023 fourth-round draft pick.
Despite generating 31 points in 61 games during his first season with the Penguins, there was a general sense of disappointment with his performance, as he missed time due to injury and the Penguins missed the playoffs for the first time in 17 years.

Thomas Greiss was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the third round, 94th overall, in the 2004 NHL Draft. He spent his early career as a backup goaltender for the Sharks, establishing himself as a reliable option in net. After his time in San Jose, Greiss played for the Coyotes and the Penguins.

David Perron

Marian Hossa

Sheahan’s NHL career began with the Red Wings. In October 2017, he was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he completed the 2017-18 season with 32 points in 81 games. Subsequent trades led him to the Florida Panthers in 2019, where he scored 19 points in 82 games, and then to the Edmonton Oilers, contributing 15 points in 66 regular season games.
Sheahan continued his NHL journey with the Buffalo Sabres in 2020 and the Seattle Kraken in 2021, where he played a depth forward role and served as the team’s primary penalty killer.
