Mike Smith
Mike Smith’s NHL journey began with the Dallas Stars, who selected him in the fifth round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. After a few seasons developing and playing backup in Dallas, Smith was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2008, where he assumed a larger role between the pipes.
In 2011, Smith signed with the Phoenix Coyotes (now the Arizona Coyotes), where he would enjoy some of his best years as a professional. In the 2011-2012 season, he played a pivotal role in leading the Coyotes to the Western Conference Finals, with standout performances throughout the playoffs.
After his tenure with the Coyotes, Smith joined the Calgary Flames in 2017 and later the Edmonton Oilers in 2019. With the Oilers, he showcased his veteran presence, helping stabilize the team’s goaltending situation.

Max Domi
Max Domi was selected 12th overall by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Domi’s career in the NHL began with the Arizona Coyotes (previously Phoenix), where he quickly made a name for himself. He scored his first NHL goal and assist in his debut against the Kings in 2015 and achieved his first career NHL hat trick in 2016 against the Oilers.
Domi’s journey in the NHL has seen him play for several teams. After the Coyotes, he was traded to the Canadiens in 2018. In Montreal, he achieved a significant milestone by scoring 72 points in the 2018-19 season, the first Canadiens player to do so since 2009-10.
In 2020, Domi moved to the Columbus Blue Jackets, followed by a trade to the Carolina Hurricanes in 2022. Domi then signed with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2022 and was traded to the Dallas Stars in 2023. As of July 2023, Domi joined the Toronto Maple Leafs on a one-year contract.
Loui Eriksson
Loui Eriksson was selected in the second round, 33rd overall, by the Dallas Stars in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
During his NHL career, Eriksson played for the Dallas Stars, Boston Bruins, and Vancouver Canucks. He is known for his two-way play and ability to contribute both offensively and defensively.
Eriksson’s most productive season came in 2008-2009 with the Stars, when he scored 36 goals and tallied 63 points. In addition to his NHL career, Eriksson has represented Sweden in various international competitions.
Brett Hull
Brett Hull is widely regarded as one of the greatest goal-scorers in the history of the National Hockey League. Hull had an illustrious NHL career that spanned from 1986 to 2006. He was known for his incredible goal-scoring ability and is most often remembered for his time with the St. Louis Blues.
One of the career highlights for Hull was winning the Stanley Cup twice, first with the Dallas Stars in 1999 and then with the Detroit Red Wings in 2002. He was a key offensive force on both teams.
Hull’s remarkable accomplishments include being a two-time winner of the Hart Memorial Trophy as the league’s Most Valuable Player, as well as winning the Lady Byng Trophy multiple times for sportsmanship and skill. He retired as the third-highest goal scorer in NHL history.
Patrik Nemith
Patrik Nemeth, a Swedish defenseman, was selected 41st overall by the Dallas Stars in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He began his NHL journey with the Stars, debuting with their AHL affiliate, the Texas Stars. Nemeth made the Stars’ opening night roster for the 2014–15 season but suffered a significant injury early on, leading to a lengthy recovery period.
Nemeth’s career saw him move to various teams over the years. In the 2017–18 season, he was claimed off waivers by the Colorado Avalanche, where he had a breakout season, leading to a one-year contract extension. He later signed a two-year contract with the Detroit Red Wings in 2019, and was subsequently traded back to the Avalanche in 2021.
Nemeth then signed a three-year deal with the New York Rangers in 2021, and in 2022, he was traded to the Arizona Coyotes. After his tenth NHL season, Nemeth was placed on unconditional waivers by the Coyotes and bought out from his contract, leading him to return to Europe.
