I’ve already done the research and have put together a list of well-known stars along with some more “under-the-radar” players that could land you a low rarity score.

Jeremy Lauzon

Jeremy Lauzon, born in Canada, is a defenseman currently playing for the Nashville Predators. He was drafted 52nd overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Lauzon’s NHL debut came during the 2018-19 season with the Bruins. He later joined the Seattle Kraken through the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft before being traded to the Nashville Predators in 2022.

Lauzon’s style of play in the NHL has been marked by solid defensive skills and physicality. Over his career, he has accumulated notable statistics, including his total NHL figures of 209 games played, 8 goals, 22 assists, and 30 points, alongside 218 penalty minutes.

Marcus Johansson

Marcus Johansson is a Swedish forward currently playing for the Minnesota Wild. He was selected by the Washington Capitals in the first round, 24th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Johansson signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Capitals in 2010 and made his NHL debut in the 2010-11 season. He played for the Capitals until 2017, when he was traded to the New Jersey Devils. In February 2019, he was traded to the Boston Bruins, with whom he reached the 2019 Stanley Cup Finals.

Johansson then signed a two-year contract with the Buffalo Sabres in July 2019. In September 2020, he was traded to the Minnesota Wild, and in August 2021, he signed a contract with the Seattle Kraken. Johansson returned to the Capitals in March 2022 before being traded back to the Wild in February 2023​​​​​​​​​​.

Austin Czarnik

Austin Czarnik, an American center, currently plays for the Detroit Red Wings of the NHL. Czarnik went undrafted in the NHL but has played with several teams including the Bruins, Flames, Islanders, and Seattle Kraken.

Czarnik made his NHL debut with the Bruins in the 2016–17 season and scored his first NHL goal against Henrik Lundqvist of the New York Rangers. After his tenure with the Bruins, he joined the Calgary Flames in 2018 on a two-year contract.

Czarnik later signed a two-year deal with the New York Islanders in 2020, before moving to the Seattle Kraken in the 2021–22 season, and finally signing a two-year contract with the Detroit Red Wings in 2022.

Karson Kuhlman

Karson Kuhlman, an American center, currently plays for the Bridgeport Islanders in the AHL while under contract with the New York Islanders of the NHL. Kuhlman went undrafted in the NHL but signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Boston Bruins in 2018 after a successful college career with the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs.

He made his NHL debut with the Bruins in 2019 and scored his first NHL goal shortly after. Kuhlman recorded his first Stanley Cup playoff point and goal in 2019.

Kuhlman played a limited role with the Bruins in the 2021–22 season before being claimed off waivers by the Seattle Kraken. He continued with the Kraken for the remainder of the season and part of the 2022–23 season before being claimed by the Winnipeg Jets. He was signed by the New York Islanders for the 2023–24 season.

Ryan Donato

Ryan Donato is an American forward currently playing for the Chicago Blackhawks. Drafted by the Boston Bruins in the second round, 56th overall, in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Donato began his NHL career with the Bruins in 2018 after a successful stint with Harvard University, where he led the team in scoring during the 2017-18 season​​.

Donato’s NHL journey has seen him play for several teams. He was traded to the Minnesota Wild in 2019. In 2020, Donato moved to the San Jose Sharks, following a trade for a third-round pick.

He then signed with the expansion team Seattle Kraken in 2021 as a free agent and made history by scoring the first goal in Kraken franchise history. After his time with the Kraken, Donato signed with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2023​​​​​​​​​​​​.
